Planning your Sportkation

What is Sportkation?

Sportkation organises pickleball training camps at partner venues in Vietnam. Its Retreat, Camp and Intensive experiences combine coaching, accommodation, meals and group transport from Ho Chi Minh City. Sportkation is operated by SPORTKATION CO. LTD.

Where do Sportkation camps take place?

Sportkation works with partner venues in Vietnam. Soojin Resort in Song Ray, Dong Nai has a public destination page with venue information. Other destinations on the site may still be in preparation. Check available dates when booking; the team sends the venue, timetable and arrival details after booking and payment.

Can I come on my own?

Yes. Solo travellers, couples and friends can join. Standard pickleball stays use 6 double rooms with up to 12 places. Choose a shared or private room in the planner; a private room is reserved for one guest.

Which programme suits my level?

Retreat suits beginners and recreational players. Camp is for regular players working on technique and strategy. Intensive is a week of focused training. Tell us your level so the team can review your choice.

What does a training camp include?

Retreat and Camp include 1 night, 4 meals, group transfer from HCMC, equipment, water and a Sportkation host. Retreat has 5 pickleball hours; Camp has 7. Intensive includes 6 nights, full board and 25+ coached hours. Review inclusions, room and coaching extras and the full price before checkout.

When is my training camp confirmed?

Your places are reserved immediately when you book available dates. Pay the full amount by Vietnamese or international bank transfer and report it before the deadline. Your booking is confirmed once Sportkation verifies the full payment. Venue, schedule and practical details follow booking and payment. Yoga & Pilates, wingfoil, tennis and golf remain in preparation.

Can I add nights or coaching?

Retreat and Camp guests can add nights with accommodation, three meals and resort facilities. Extra coaching is priced per coach and hour; private 1-on-1 coaching can be requested. All additions need availability confirmation.

What happens after booking and payment?

Your places are reserved immediately. Confirmation follows verification of the full transfer payment. The team then shares venue, training schedule, coach and host information, and arrival and transport arrangements. Add guest profiles and practical needs in your account to help us prepare.

Can I arrive independently or from overseas?

Yes. The included group transfer starts in Ho Chi Minh City; you may also arrange your own arrival. Airport assistance or transfer must be arranged separately with the team.

Choosing your pickleball camp

Beginners, recreational players and guests who want to play, relax and socialize.

Can I join if I have never played pickleball?

Yes. This is the most suitable of the three packages for a complete beginner. Tell us your level after booking and payment so the coach can prepare for the group.

Do I need to come with a playing partner?

No. Solo guests are welcome, as are couples and friends. The training camp includes group sessions and social time; room arrangements are selected separately when you plan.

How is this different from the Pickleball Camp?

The Retreat puts equal weight on playing and relaxing. The Camp is designed for regular players seeking more coached hours and a stronger technique and strategy focus.

Players who already play pickleball and want to improve their technique and game strategy.

Is this camp suitable for complete beginners?

The Camp is designed for people who already play regularly. If you are picking up a paddle for the first time, the Retreat offers a more welcoming starting pace.

What will the coaches work on?

Training can cover serve and return, dinks, third shots, resets, transition, volleys, doubles positioning and strategy. Coaches adapt the emphasis to the group.

How is it different from the Intensive Camp?

This Camp fits into two days and one night. The Intensive Camp gives serious players a full week, an initial assessment, individual feedback, recovery work and a final tournament.

Serious players seeking structured, intensive training and measurable improvement.

Is the Intensive Camp only for advanced players?

It is built for committed players who already play regularly, including advanced and competitive guests. The initial assessment helps coaches adapt priorities to the group and individual goals.

Does the week include recovery time?

Yes. Recovery and mobility are part of the program, alongside coached court time and match play. The exact daily schedule is confirmed for your group.

What does the final tournament add?

It creates a chance to use new choices in real points. The week also includes individual feedback, so you leave with a clearer picture of what to keep working on.
